Mr. Shafiee holds Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts from the American University of Afghanistan (AUAf) in Kabul and Mahatma Gandhi University of India. He has also possesses a Diploma in Management and Information Technology from CMI Institute. Amin has received several trainings in project management, media, public diplomacy, conflict management and leadership in USA, UK, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, India, Turkey, Japan and Macao. He has experience in Project/Program Management, Strategic Communications and Media, Development, Administration and Events Management with different national and international organizations. Mr. Shafiee has worked in the capacities of Chief of Staff to the Transition Coordination Commission (TCC) – Office of Dr. Ashraf Ghani – President of Afghanistan, Deputy Director at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Office of the Presidential Spokesperson (OPS). He has been a member of Policy Working Group at the National Consultative Peace Jirga at the Office Administrative Affairs. He has worked as Management Consultant to the Office of the Coordinator of Kabul Conference with Dr. Ashraf Ghani. He served as Strategic Planning Advisor and ANDS Coordinator at the Programs Deputy Minister’s Office – MRRD, Member of Management and Policy pillar at the Af-Pak Joint Peace Jirga (Council). He was associated at Peace Dividend Trust, CIDA, as a Consultant. Besides that he has worked in several other positions at UN Agencies, Independent Elections Commission and Joint Electoral Management Body (JEMB). In addition, it is worth mentioning that Mr. Shafiee has either managed or played a key role in several developmental, media and communications, promotion of local investment and national events/Jirgas projects in Afghanistan. As a young professional familiar with Afghan culture, he is knowledgeable of the Afghan social and political challenges, and has strived for the application of a modern and result based management practice throughout his career.
